Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"If nothing else, come here for the Allende Cake dessert. There is so much chocolate in it, if you love chocolate this is for you and to be honest, is probably enough for two! Took a while to get us seated, with a 2 couples ahead of us. Didn't seem to be enough staff on to deal with it during a busy evening, but once seated we got our orders taken quickly and effectively. Tarter starter was delicious, as was the rib eye steak. Would highly recommend, perhaps with a reservation so you're not waiting around for a while. Very good wine menu!"
"Went in with low expectations, were surprised! Everything tasted good. Service was exceptional. Atmosphere was pleasant and lively. And wine price decent!"
"An amazing dinner experience - the cocktails were top notch and the dinner as well. There was plenty of quantity but also quality in the dishes, and especially the cold avocado soup: a dream!"
"Absoluetly delicious meal, pigs cheeks was amazing, sea bass was huge. Eggplant starter was biig & lovely. Wine was nice. Service a little lacking, only because didn't seem enough staff on for how busy it was. No one checked if meal was ok, had to wait for dishes to be removed but would happily return"
"First visit after being recommended by friends. Family dinner and we were all very happy and content. Started with mini-burgers, papitas with mojo rojo and cheviche. Iberian pork, sea bass and wok for the main course. To full for dessert. Service swift and courteous. We’ll return to this restaurant with an interesting menu. Reservation recommended."
"Being able to sit outside was nice, the tuna tataki was the star of the show. The grilled squid with truffle lacked truffle flavour (it's also on a bed of mash so quite filling). Creme brulé had a proper crunchy top."
"Food was great. We had the sliders and the steak tartare as starters which were great. We had the tuna which was great, but no vegetables or fries were included. We also had the rib eye, which was really good. Only the fries were undercooked, which was unfortunate. Desserts (creme brulee and 22 cup) were great."
"Been coming to this restaurant for 6 years. The food is always excellent. Staff are friendly and efficient. This place is popular and usually quite busy so I strongly recommend making a reservation via their website. Over the years we have brought friends from the UK, Germany, US, Madrid and New Zealand with us to this unique tapas restaurant (that also serves a variety of other dishes) on various occasions. Some of our favourite dishes include: the veal carpacio with mushrooms and truffles, Moroccan chicken sticks, Salmon tartare, Tuna Tataki, Prawns romesco, Veal mini burgers with truffles, Cocconut curry with pan fried prawns and noodles/Jasmine rice wok dish, and the local traditional veal or fish empanadas, - and the boneless slow cooked ribs are all incredible! All of friends from across the globe have loved the food and service @Allende 22.We visited 3 times on our most recent Dec -Jan Gran Canaria trip and we cannot wait to return later on this year - and also try their sister property in Las Palmas. A huge thank you to the chefs and great staff at Allende."
